Terms of Service

I am happy to create your own reproduction or original piece entirely to specification. For this to be as accurate as possible, please provide as much specific detail along with any illustrations, photographs, etc. to work from, and your creative project can be taken from there.

Usual lead time is anywhere from 3 to 6 months from order time to completion. This varies depending upon the time of year, as much of my working time is also taken up with historical fencing tuition and the business is operated entirely by myself alone. I shall contact the customer when the work starts and provide an estimation of how long work should take. The customer should also receive a second call/e-mail when the sword is almost complete, along with a balance payment request.

No more than 20% deposit with placement of order. Full balance payable upon completion. Full balance payment must be made within 2 weeks of order completion.

Please note that if payment is not received within this time, Macdonald Armouries reserves the right to re-sell the order.

Acceptable payment methods are cash or by cheque, Paypal or direct bank transfer. Please also note that Paypal incurs a 4% additional transfer charge and bank transfers may also incur additional charges.

Your order shall be posted or shipped upon balance payment being received and cleared. This shall usually be via the most direct and affordable method. Postage/shipping charges are variable and entirely dependent upon weight and destination. This shall be calculated at the time of your order.
